Nine Lives Are a Strategic Asset

At first glance, the sight can be… unexpected.

A colossal Orc warrior, scarred, armoured, built like a siege engine, followed closely by an impeccably groomed feline who behaves as though the entire campaign exists for its personal amusement.

This is not a coincidence: among the Orcs of Inneath, in fact, cats are not pets, they are talismans!

For a people burdened with a short and unpredictable lifespan, the legendary nine lives of a cat represent something precious: continuity. Fortune. Protection against the statistically unpleasant.

Whether that power is mystical or simply believed to be so remains unverified.

What is certain, however, is that very few things in Orc society receive such pure and unrestrained affection.
