If it can help you, try to "stylize" the armor into basic shapes, and paint them accordingly to that. For example, you can look at the upper part of the armor as a sphere, while the lower plates can be seen as the sections of a cylinder. Try to take some references on Google images, searching for "study of light spheres/cylinder", it will help to identify how the light reflects on different shapes. Once understood that, with a bit of practice everything will be way easier :)

Very wise advices u__u I noticed that, at least with my iphone, it's really hard to get nice pics, especially if I use colored background! Yesterday I wanted to film a quick turnaround for my Instagram stories, and the green background messed up the phone, which really had troubles to compensate, darkening everything :\

PS: if you want to "soften" a direct source of light, but you don't want to spend money on those fancy professional products, you can just put in front of the lamp a piece of baking paper (the white paper that is used to cook food in the oven, I don't know its exact name): this way, the light of the lamp is filtered by it and gives you a nice, uniform and soften light (direct strong light is not ideal to illuminate a miniature)

Oh, you are touching a soft spot XD Indeed, yes, I crave to get some good quality art for my lore, but at the moment all my resources are focused on creating the range of miniatures! Davide made a fantastic work, illustrating my first 3 booklets ("Peoples of Inneath") but at the moment I managed to patron only one illustration, made by Justin Gerard! Unfortunately it is a very expensive affair, and I confess that at the moment it's more efficient to use the doubloons earned in our KS campaigns to make more minis! But, for sure, my wish is the same of yours: I also would love to see artworks based on Inneath!

whohooo!! :D thank you for sharing your progress! First of all, you chose a very important color for your Orc skin: blue, the same of Urghor! Orc with blue skin are extremely rare and they are not particularly loved by other orcs because they believe that blue is a omen of bad luck! But it is said also that those who are born with blue skin are also intended to achieve great things in life! Said so, I think you have set an interesting color composition: the cold hue of the skin creates a nice contrast with the warm tones of the clothes, the face is highlighted well and "pops out" nicely! It's a complex sculpt and, above all, it is enormous so I understand your struggle with it but keep going, the final result will be worth it!

I feel you very deeply, my friend T__T in the last months, for a reason or another, I've just been able to clean 3d prints and minis, but not to paint a single one T___T I hope to get back to paint soon!! yes, in general one thing we have to improve is the "thickness" of some elements, often I noticed that we make some details too "realistic", for what concerns thickness, and it causes a bit of problems once printed/cast in resin. Luckily, from now on we are able to pre-3dprint our sculpts months before starting the production, so we will spot the fragile/thin parts in advance and we can fix them! The next KS is scheduled in Spring 2023!

Hi Denny! I believe that it's only a step where you have to confirm the reward chosen during the KS (which has an initial price of 125€). Once you have confirmed your reward and given the selection, you will see that you have a 145€ credit :) (I did a try with your account, and everything works). That "125€" refers only to the price of the original reward "selection 3", not your pledge amount :)

Hi Denny! As you guessed, let's say that I would keep the space "coherent" with the platform, which is all about DPF (being, well, the only website about it XD). I'm not a fundamentalist, however, so if in your projects you mix DPF minis and other brands mini, it won't be a big deal for me! About the third topic option, yes it is fine, I preferred to start with two sections just to avoid a "Desert of Tartars" effect, with many empty sections, but there is no problem to create a kind of "general discussions" section, I'll do it asap (at the moment I'm covered in Mystery Boxes to ship XD).

This is particularly interesting!! One of our customer asked me about printing for him a 35mm version of this kit, and I was a little worried like you, because these new sculpts have been designed with more details than our average 32mm ones. The result is really interesting, it seems like the Warden still look great and the details are crisp: very nice job (and thank you for posting your result! I'm sure that it will help other backers!)
